The Fondo de Desarrollo Local (FDL), or ‘Local Development Fund’, is the lead provider of micro-financial services to the Nicaraguan rural sector. We also have an important presence in the urban sector, serving micro and small businesses. The majority of our clients are women.
The FDL’s network comprises of 37 offices located throughout Nicaragua with a portfolio of over US$ 65 million dolars, and over 60 million clients.
For 20 years the FDL has been offering credit and complimentary services to assist and support development.
